Merix is a circuit board manufacturer who bought two other companies. They needed to get one ERP system and build common processes and practices. They selected Oracle e-business suite to help get the company on one platform.
This was achieved by Merix approving global processes and configuring Oracle to be one instance for all divisions. This included the Oracle Shop Floor for San Jose and China.
Oracle at Merix
Oracle e-business was a good fit for Merix. The integration of InPlan made the system flow especially when the Oracle Shop Floor module was integrated. This allowed for Engineering Change Control to have impact analysis of shop floor work orders in process.
